" So, what books do I like to sit down with at the end of a long, hard day frightening villagers and kidnapping fair maidens? "

Stephen King, 'It'. Possibly the greatest modern horror novel ever written. And anything else Mr King ever has or ever will write.

" Bow to the Master! "

Greg Iles, 'Turning Angel'. His first novel and still probably his best. And most of his other novels, possibly with the exception of 'Spandau Phoenix' which just wasn't my thing.

The Toby Peters detective series by Stuart M Kaminsky. LA private detective in the 19030s/40s, an engaging mixture of comedy and noir.

CSI novelizations, various authors. The novels let you take a closer peek at the TV characters and still retain the unique flavor of each series.

'The Lair of The White Worm', Bram Stoker. People forget that Stoker wrote more than just 'Dracula' and this one is possibly better than his most famous novel. Forget the silly movie was made from it in the 80's. Only good thing about that was Amanda Donohoe.

The Sookie Stackhouse vampire novels by Charlaine Harris. I picked up the first one of these entirely by accident and loved it so much I read it three times in a row before I handed it back in at the library. Sookie is one of the most adorable characters ever created, and Pam is THE coolest lesbian vampire ever. The TV show is every bit as good - nice to see Pam fleshed out by Kristin Bauer van Straten in purple velour tracksuits and pumps to die for!

James Lee Burke, 'In The Electric Mist With Confederate Dead'. I love all Burke's novels, but I've always thought this title was brilliant!

Stuart McBride's DS Logan 'Lazarus' McRae series, set in Aberdeen, and featuring possibly the coolest not-cool openly lesbian cop ever, DI Roberta Steele of the 'devil-may-care hair'. The woman is uncouth, uncompromising, and utterly hilarious!

And anything by the likes of Jeff Abbott, Gary A Braunbeck, Bentley Little, Raymond Chandler, Ronica Black, Jonathan Kellerman, James Patterson, Richard Montanari, John Saul, Ali Valli, Elmore Leonard, John Hart, Kelley Armstrong, Laurell K Hamilton, and Edgar Alan Poe. To name but a few!

Besides fiction, you'll catch me in the Philosophy, Psychology, History, Forensic/Crime, and Hollywood sections of the bookstore/library. But never in the Computers/Technology section ...

Love,

UltraGuest filters the 'L-word' amongst others. I know some sites etc do this and it's frankly b***s**t! However, just get creative to find a way around it!

Do you have a website that you would like to link?

Are you a new designer or a photographer who might be interested in promoting your work by doing a book cover for me? I'll be looking for a cover for the 2nd instalment of 'The Lesbian Vampire Chronicles' and for other projects.

Or if you are a new author who would be interested in mutual endorsements / reviews, let's talk.

Let me know via my Guestbook and I will give you an email address to contact me directly. If your work is on MySpace, Facebook, or other social network sites let me know so I can have a look.

Just for fun, check out this blog, it's pretty cool and it's informative ...
